Compare EGO 530 CFM trimmer-and-blower combo kits
Model comparison
Three EGO combo kits advertise a 530 CFM blower, but the accompanying trimmer and battery package make them different purchases.
Start with the blower they share
The ST1502LB, ST1503LB and ST1511LB are all EGO 56V trimmer-and-blower combinations with a published maximum of 530 CFM. That ceiling is a manufacturer specification, not a measured result on a particular driveway. Their linked LB5300-family manual gives three airflow settings and up to 110 mph at the highest setting; a shaped tapered, flat or spread nozzle is not listed in the manual packing list. If a specific nozzle is essential, check the exact retail contents rather than reading it into a product photograph.
It is equally important to separate blower-body figures from carrying weight. EGO's LB5300 manual lists 4.81 pounds with the blower tube but without the battery. None of these exact combo pages supplies a complete assembled blower weight with pack installed, and the manual does not provide a Newton force value. A strict full-carry-weight limit or minimum force requirement therefore cannot be established for this group using those sources.
What changes in each package?
| Kit | Trimmer distinction | Included battery / charger | Good reason to compare it |
|---|---|---|---|
| ST1502LB | 15-inch Rapid Reload head; extended aluminum shaft | 2.5 Ah / standard 210 W charger | You want both tools and line replacement simplicity, with a smaller included pack. |
| ST1503LB | Same Rapid Reload, 15-inch trimmer configuration | 4.0 Ah with fuel gauge / standard 210 W charger | You prefer a larger single pack in the older combo family. |
| ST1511LB | POWERLOAD line winding and adjustable telescoping aluminum shaft | 2.5 Ah / 210 W charger | You value the newer trimmer controls and adjustment more than a larger included pack. |
Choose around the trimming job
ST1502LB and ST1503LB share an older Rapid Reload trimmer design. The exact ST1502LB product page describes a 15-inch cutting swath, 0.095-inch line and an extended aluminum shaft. EGO's product page separates the 2.5 Ah ST1502LB configuration from ST1503LB, which has a 4.0 Ah battery with fuel gauge. A larger battery is useful only if the additional capacity fits your workload; it does not change the blower's CFM ceiling, the trimmer's cutting width or the way the Rapid Reload head loads line.
ST1511LB changes the trimmer, not the top-line airflow rating. Its page specifies POWERLOAD line winding, a telescoping aluminum shaft that adjusts to the user, .095-inch dual line and a 15-inch swath. POWERLOAD changes line loading; it is not a blower feature and not a claim that cutting line advances without normal trimmer operation. If more than one person uses the trimmer, a shaft that adjusts quickly may matter more than the larger 4 Ah battery in ST1503LB.
Plan around one battery
All three kits include one battery, so trimming and blowing are sequential jobs. The battery cannot run both tools at the same time. The 2.5 Ah choices can be sensible for ordinary edging and cleanup, while the ST1503LB's 4.0 Ah pack gives more rated capacity before swapping or recharging. Capacity is not a runtime promise: blower setting, grass load, battery age and the operator's technique all change the work interval. EGO's runtime examples for the blower are mode-specific and should not be added to a trimmer runtime as though one pack powered both jobs concurrently.
The 2026 EGO product catalog identifies the ST1502LB/ST1503LB family and ST1511LB with a 210 W charger. The exact older combo product page calls its charger standard, while the newer combo page does not list a complete package configuration table. A fresh retail listing should still be checked for model suffix and in-box charger before ordering; the image is not a receipt or inventory record.
When a combo is the wrong answer
A bundle makes sense when both trimming and blowing are needs. If you already have a working trimmer, consider a blower-only model such as the LB5302 or another exact package whose nozzle and battery contents fit. The blower-only option avoids duplicating a tool, while a higher-output model may change the handling and battery plan. None of these three combos should be selected just because 530 is larger than a neighbor's rating: airflow, nozzle, control and debris condition all affect practical cleanup.
For all three, the LB5300 manual's tube and safe-operation instructions matter. Keep the intake and outlet clear, remove the battery before cleaning or service, and wear eye and hearing protection appropriate to the task. IPX4 on the component family does not mean the kit can be left outdoors wet or washed carelessly. Start on a lower setting near gravel, mulch and planting beds; switch to boost only when the debris and surface need it.
