Model comparison
Compare Husqvarna 560BTS, 570BTS and 570BFS gas backpack blowers
The 560BTS, 570BTS and 570BFS are easy to mistake for one product family with only small trim changes. Their useful differences are more specific: the 560BTS has lower published output, while the 570BTS and 570BFS share higher listed engine and airflow figures but put the throttle in different places. All three are gas backpack blowers with a 2.2 L tank, standard round nozzle and no vacuum/mulching assembly in the reviewed package.
| Exact model | Manufacturer maximum force | Airflow basis | Standard-nozzle speed | Control layout | Listed weight caveat |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 560BTS, article 966 63 11-02 | 30 N | 631 CFM at nozzle | 232 mph | Right-hand tube control | Page FAQ: 23.15 lb excluding fuel; manual: 23.2 lb without basis |
| 570BTS, article 966 62 94-02 | 37 N | 768 CFM at pipe; 972 CFM in housing | 236 mph | Right-hand tube control; cruise-control option | 24.7 lb in page and manual; fuel basis unstated |
| 570BFS, article 966 62 95-01 | 37 N | 768 CFM at pipe; 972 CFM in housing | 236 mph | Left-side frame-mounted throttle | FAQ: 24.47 lb “when empty”; manual: 24.9 lb, basis unstated |
The 560BTS is not just a lighter 570
The 560BTS is listed at 65.6 cc and 3.81 hp. The 570 pair is also 65.6 cc, but the page lists 4 hp. More important for a practical comparison, the 560BTS is published at 30 N and 631 CFM at the nozzle; the 570 models are listed at 37 N and 768 CFM at the pipe. The 570 pages also give 972 CFM in the housing, which is a different measurement point. Do not compare 972 housing CFM as if it were outlet airflow, and do not assume that a published maximum predicts clearing time on every yard. If 30 N/631 CFM is enough for the task, the 560BTS represents the lower-output plan; if a higher threshold is essential, the 570 ratings are the relevant distinction.
Choose between BTS and BFS by control location
The 570BTS uses a right-hand throttle on the blower tube and lists a cruise-control option. The 570BFS mounts its throttle to the left side of the backpack frame. The shared manual gives the same 65.6 cc engine, 37 N maximum force, 768 CFM pipe airflow and 236 mph standard-nozzle velocity for both. There is no supported basis for claiming that one is the stronger 570. The functional difference is the operator's control position; where that is important, inspect and handle the exact configuration rather than relying on a product image.
Weight deserves a source-basis check
On the 560BTS, the page FAQ says 23.15 lb excluding fuel, while the manual rounds its figure to 23.2 lb without stating basis. For the 570BTS, the page and manual both list 24.7 lb but the manual calls the field only “weight.” On the 570BFS, the FAQ says 24.47 lb “when empty” but does not define what that includes; the manual lists 24.9 lb without a fuel note. None of these 570 figures establishes a complete fuel-ready carried weight, and the 570BFS sources disagree. The 560's explicit exclusion of fuel should not be confused with its total mass in use. Each tank holds 2.2 L, so an empty/without-fuel figure is not a ready-to-work weight.
Shared fuel and function boundaries
All three use a two-cycle gasoline/oil mixture. The shared manual specifies 50:1, at least 87 AKI gasoline, less than 10% ethanol and no more than a 30-day quantity of prepared fuel. Starting uses an air-purge bulb, a start button and recoil pull; the button is not an electric starter. The manual calls for eye and hearing protection and a 15 m separation. Each is a blower-only plan with a round standard nozzle and integrated harness; a flat nozzle is an optional accessory. If collecting leaves into a bag is the job, see the separate vacuum/mulcher guide rather than assuming any backpack blower can be converted.
These three exact Husqvarna profiles are retained for technical comparison, not buying recommendations. Exact-model safety eligibility has not been established; reference-only does not mean a recall finding or a safety clearance. A battery-only or gas-only requirement can change the shortlist, and the gas request may properly return no eligible match. See each 560BTS, 570BTS and 570BFS assessment for its source trail and individual fit limits.
