Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Do you need one ECHO 56V package with both a handheld blower and a string trimmer?
Yes. The exact DCP-BVRVS1B page lists a DPB-2500 blower and DSRM-2100 trimmer, with one 2.5Ah battery and a standard charger. The two tools share the included battery and are used one at a time.
Explore this need in the finder →Is the ECHO Speed-Feed 400 trimmer head a required feature?
The DSRM-2100 component is listed with an ECHO Speed-Feed 400 head and .095-inch line. Its bump-feed head is not EGO Rapid Reload or POWERLOAD.
Explore this need in the finder →Will the exact kit’s one 2.5Ah battery satisfy your capacity requirement?
It meets a 2.5Ah-per-pack floor, but not a strict 5.0Ah floor: the DCP-BVRVS1B package lists one 2.5Ah battery. A larger compatible battery is a separate purchase, not an included second pack.
Explore this need in the finder →Can a firm blower CFM minimum be credited when ECHO’s page and DPB-2500 manuals disagree?
No. The combo page lists 549 CFM and 158 mph; the DPB-2500 manuals and support table list 580 CFM and 150 mph. Because ECHO has not reconciled those figures, the hard-matching CFM and manual-speed fields remain unknown.
Explore this need in the finder →A yard-work pair built around one battery
The ECHO DCP-BVRVS1B is a two-tool 56V kit: a DPB-2500 handheld blower, a DSRM-2100 string trimmer, one 2.5Ah battery and a standard charger. Its point is not a new blower mechanism; it is putting two common cleanup tools in the same package and battery system. That suits an owner who wants to trim lawn edges and then clear clippings from a walk or patio without buying two separate starter kits. It does not include a leaf vacuum or collection bag, and the single battery moves between tools rather than powering both at once.
The package page's own labels need a little care. Its main description names the trimmer DSRM-2100, while a feature bullet calls the included powerhead DSRM-2100SB. ECHO's standalone page, support specifications and operator manual identify DSRM-2100. That does not establish two trimmers in the box; it is an unresolved suffix inconsistency on the bundle page. For replacement parts or warranty paperwork, use the product and serial labels on the actual tool rather than assuming the suffix is interchangeable.
Read the blower rating alongside its manual
ECHO describes the DPB-2500 with a variable-speed trigger, cruise control and a turbo button. The DCP bundle page currently lists 549 CFM, 158 mph and 17 newtons in turbo mode. However, ECHO's DPB-2500 operator manuals and support specification list 580 CFM and 150 mph. The sources do not reconcile that change. This review preserves the published figures but does not treat maximum CFM or air speed as a confirmed hard-threshold advantage. A buyer with a strict minimum should compare a model whose exact page and applicable manual agree, not select this bundle on a 549-versus-580 distinction.
For the included 2.5Ah battery, ECHO's page lists average blower runtimes of 9, 15 and 90 minutes for turbo, high and low settings respectively. These are manufacturer estimates for different settings, not a promise that one charge will cover a whole yard. Turbo is the short-burst mode; lower output is the longer-duration option. Because the same battery is also used for trimming, a combined mow-and-cleanup session draws from the same pack. ECHO lists a 75-minute charge with the standard charger for the 2.5Ah configuration. A rapid charger and larger packs are separate accessories, not contents of this SKU.
The trimmer has its own useful adjustment
The DSRM-2100 is a straight-shaft, brushless 56V trimmer with a Speed-Feed 400 head and .095-inch line. The manufacturer lists a 16-inch cutting path that can be adjusted to 14 inches. ECHO's manual describes the narrower setting as a way to gain runtime and the wider setting as a way to cover more area. That is a practical choice for a small yard: use the wider path for open edges, then narrow it if battery life matters more around tighter work. The manual describes bump-feed line advancement and the head is designed for replacement line without routine disassembly; it is not the button-assisted POWERLOAD system used by some competing trimmers.
ECHO's page lists up to 56 minutes for the trimmer on the 2.5Ah pack, but do not add that to the blower's runtime figures as if the kit contains two batteries. Each estimate is for its own tool and operating conditions. The trimmer is listed at 9.75 pounds with the battery; the blower page lists 7.7 pounds with the same-size pack. Those are separate working configurations, not a single combined carry weight. If you mainly need a lighter blower for a few hard surfaces, the trimmer's extra package value may not justify buying or storing a second tool.
Where it fits—and where it does not
The ECHO kit makes the most sense if both trimming and blowing are genuinely on your task list, you want ECHO's 56V battery family, and a single 2.5Ah pack is enough for the scale of the work. The Speed-Feed 400 and 14/16-inch width choice make the trimmer a real part of the value, not a decorative add-on. If you need longer blower work at high output, a larger battery supplied in a different kit or bought separately is the relevant change; selecting the bundle alone does not solve that need.
Compare the EGO ST1502LB if a 15-inch trimmer and the LB5300-family 530 CFM blower are a better fit, or the ST1503LB when its larger 4.0Ah battery package is more useful. The EGO ST1511LB changes the trimmer head to POWERLOAD. Those models are still combo tools, so the one-battery/two-jobs tradeoff remains. A standalone ECHO DPB-2500 kit is a better comparison if trimming is unnecessary, but its battery and charger package suffixes differ and the blower's CFM/speed conflict remains.
Both ECHO component manuals require the operator to read the instructions and use the tools as intended; the blower manual identifies household use. Remove the battery before cleaning or servicing, keep the tools and charger stored indoors as directed, and use eye and hearing protection appropriate to the task. This assessment retains the combo as a technical reference while exact-model safety and recall eligibility has not been fully established; that is not a claim that this kit is recalled.
