Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Do you want a flat nozzle in a 580 CFM kit?
The LB5800 manual packing list includes the flat nozzle, and its maximum air volume is 580 CFM. The spread nozzle is separate.
Explore this need in the finder →Will a 580 CFM blower with at least 18 N manual-listed force fit a 4.8 lb body cap?
The manual lists 18 N maximum force and 4.77 lb without a battery. The 5.0 Ah battery and nozzle add carrying weight beyond that body figure.
Explore this need in the finder →Is a tapered nozzle also supplied when the kit has a 5.0 Ah pack?
Yes. The LB5800 manual lists both tapered and flat nozzles, and the product page lists the battery-and-charger kit. A spread nozzle is not in that packing list.

The LB5804 is EGO’s kit package for its 580 CFM handheld body: one 5.0 Ah 56V battery and a standard charger. The LB5800-family operator’s manual lists both a tapered nozzle and a flat nozzle in its packing list. Those attachments are used one at a time. A spread nozzle and shoulder strap appear separately as recommended accessories, so neither should be assumed to arrive in the LB5804 box. EGO also lists LB5800 as the body-only configuration, which may be more economical for an existing EGO battery owner if that specific offer is still suitable.
The distinction between the 580 CFM number and the nozzle matters. The manual lists maximum air velocity of 168 mph with the tapered nozzle and 145 mph without it, while the flat nozzle spreads the stream over a wider cleaning area. It lists 18 N maximum blowing force. These manufacturer maxima help compare specifications; they do not predict how many minutes it takes to clear wet leaves from a yard. The manual gives trigger speed control, a speed/lock-on dial and a boost button, providing more than a single fixed output.
What the kit changes in practice
The larger 5.0 Ah included pack gives this box a different emphasis from the lower-capacity LB5302 and LB4803 kits. Capacity is not a guaranteed runtime, though. The LB5800 manual gives approximate times of 200 minutes on low, 30 on high and 18 in boost with a 5.0 Ah pack; the product page advertises up to 75 minutes. Those claims use different stated conditions, so the long low-speed figure should not be treated as a boost-session promise. If a work plan depends on uninterrupted runtime, check whether a charged spare is needed and verify the charger and battery combination you will actually use.
The 580 body is listed at 4.77 lb without its battery. It is therefore close to the LB6151 in body-only weight, although the LB5804 includes a 5.0 Ah battery rather than a 2.5 Ah pack. Neither number describes the weight in hand with battery, tube and nozzle attached. The 650 CFM LB6504 is a nearby comparison when its 5.0 Ah pack and flat/tapered options are attractive; it raises the published airflow by 70 CFM and maximum force from 18 N to 21 N, while its body-only weight is also listed at 4.77 lb. That is a spec comparison, not proof the larger rating will be more useful on every surface.
Where it fits—and where it does not
This package makes sense when the desired box contents are a 5.0 Ah battery, standard charger, tapered nozzle and flat nozzle, and when 580 CFM is a suitable published maximum. The variable trigger lets the operator lower airflow around beds, patios and loose mulch rather than always using boost. On gravel or sand, EGO warns that loose material can be pulled into the intake and thrown; clear a hard, clean surface and aim the stream carefully.
The 5804 is not the right answer if a spread nozzle is a firm requirement: the manual describes that as a separate accessory. It also lacks a supplied shoulder strap, while the LB7654 and LB8803-2 kits include one. The LB6703 offers a spread nozzle and a 320 W charger with a 4.0 Ah battery; the LB5804 instead keeps the larger 5.0 Ah pack but lower 580 CFM output and a standard charger. Choose by the required attachments and charging setup, not an assumed hierarchy based on the headline CFM alone.
Limits, safety and alternatives
EGO marks this construction IPX4 for splash protection, not waterproofing. The manual says to use the blower tube, remove the battery before changing accessories or cleaning, and keep bystanders at least 50 feet away. Wear the stated eye protection, use hearing protection during extended operation, and do not point the tube at people or pets or use the machine to spread chemicals. Store the blower indoors in a dry, secure place, and do not charge the battery outdoors. Follow the current exact manual for service and operating conditions.
The LB5804 belongs in a shortlist for its particular combination of body, 5.0 Ah pack and two supplied nozzle shapes. If 580 CFM is too low for a firm requirement, compare the LB6151 or stronger models. If lower body weight or a bundled spread nozzle matters more, check the LB6151, LB6703 and LB7654 package details rather than treating compatibility as inclusion.
