EGO LB6703 670 CFM Blower Kit review

A 670 CFM handheld blower kit with a 4.0 Ah battery, 320 W charger, and tapered and spread nozzles.

Sources checked 2026-10-23 · Our editorial approach

The reviewed LB6703 is the battery-and-charger kit. LB6700 is the body-only package; it uses the same blower platform but does not supply a battery or charger.

A useful fit for

A middle point in this group: compared with the 650 kit, it adds 20 CFM, a supplied spread nozzle and a 320 W charger while stepping down to a 4.0 Ah battery. Its manual-listed peak force matches the LB6500 family rather than the stronger 765 and 880 bodies.

The main tradeoff

It is not the lightest body in the group, the included battery is smaller in Ah than the LB6504 kit, and no shoulder strap is listed as part of the package. The variable-speed range is inconsistently summarized on the product page, so the review does not use it as a hard match field.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Would a spread nozzle and at least 670 CFM suit the cleanup I have in mind?

The LB6703 kit includes the spread nozzle and its manual lists 670 CFM; this is a package and specification match, not a measured clearing result.

Can this model meet a 21 N force floor and stay under a 4.8 lb bare-body cap?

The manual lists 21 N and 4.8 lb without the battery. That leaves little bare-body weight margin and says nothing about the installed pack's total mass.

Is the 670 CFM model adequate if I require a spread nozzle but not the higher 765 CFM class?

It meets a 670 CFM minimum and includes a spread nozzle. The finder does not impose an upper CFM limit, so higher-flow EGO models may also remain eligible.

The LB6703 sits between the high-capacity and high-output choices

The EGO LB6703 is the battery-and-charger kit for the 670 CFM handheld blower body. Its exact package includes one 4.0 Ah battery, a 320 W charger, a tapered nozzle and a spread nozzle. The related LB6700 is the blower body only. The manual describes the LB6700/LB6700-FC tool body, so use the current LB6703 product page to confirm what the kit adds; the body manual is not evidence that a bare-tool purchase includes a battery or charger.

For operation, EGO supplies a variable-speed trigger, a speed/lock-on dial and a boost button. The exact page lists 670 CFM and up to 180 mph with the tapered nozzle; its manual gives 21 N maximum blowing force and 4.8 lb without the battery. These are ceiling specifications. A high number does not account for wetness, leaf depth, wind, slope, operator technique or where the debris can safely be moved. A variable control can matter as much as a peak rating when sweeping a narrow path or keeping leaves from spreading into a garden bed.

What its package adds over the 650 model

The step from the LB6504 to LB6703 is not enormous in the advertised CFM figure: 650 to 670. More meaningful to some buyers are the supplied spread nozzle and 320 W charger. The LB6504 kit has a 5.0 Ah battery and flat nozzle; the LB6703 has a 4.0 Ah pack, tapered and spread nozzles, and the higher-wattage charger. A larger amp-hour figure is a battery-capacity label, not an automatic runtime guarantee. Likewise, a charger’s wattage is not a blower power setting. These differences should be compared alongside what you already own and how you will use the nozzle.

Switch between tapered and spread nozzles only with the machine stopped and the battery removed, as the operator manual directs for accessory changes. The tapered nozzle concentrates the flow and increases air speed. The spread nozzle broadens the stream to cover a wider pass. One is attached at a time; including both does not make them simultaneous. The current EGO page has a small internal discrepancy in the variable-speed lower endpoint, with a feature callout that differs from the detailed text. Rather than infer a precise minimum airflow, the finder records the supported control style and the maximum CFM specification.

Fit, handling and limits

This kit can make sense if you want a mid-to-upper CFM handheld blower and expect to use a wider sweeping nozzle, but do not need the 765 or 880 model’s higher force specification. EGO’s page describes clearing wet leaves, caked-on grass, rocks and other heavy debris as an intended use. That is a manufacturer statement, not a claim that every debris condition will move at the same pace. Use the boost button selectively: the manual’s runtime table falls from a long low-speed estimate to a much shorter high-speed or boost estimate. Its approximate runtime and the page’s “up to 80 minutes” message depend on battery and method. A continuous high-power session will not be equivalent to the most favorable low-speed claim.

The 4.8 lb figure is for the body alone. The sources checked do not give total LB6703 operating weight with its 4.0 Ah pack and nozzle, so a strict carrying limit cannot be validated from this number. A shoulder strap is listed by the manual as a separate recommended accessory, not an LB6703 kit item. If a supplied strap is essential, the LB7654 and LB8803-2 are the reviewed options that include one. The IPX4 rating is splash protection for outdoor equipment, not a guarantee that the battery should be left wet or charged outdoors.

The manual also makes practical ownership requirements explicit: wear eye protection, keep people and pets at least 50 feet away, keep hair and loose clothing clear of the air intake, and remove the battery before service, cleaning, nozzle changes or storage. Do not use a blower to spread fertilizer or chemicals, and do not aim it toward people or pets. For troubleshooting, a clogged or obstructed air intake is a basic check, but never clear a blockage while the pack remains installed.

Alternatives inside this family

The LB6504 may be the better match if a 5.0 Ah pack and flat nozzle matter more than the small CFM difference. The LB7654 adds substantially higher published airflow and force, a strap and a 5.0 Ah kit battery; the LB8803-2 adds the digital readout and two batteries but has the heaviest bare body in this group. The LB6151 is lighter by a fraction on the manual-only weight figures, but its kit has a smaller battery and only a tapered nozzle. These comparisons do not establish a universal ranking. They identify the real package tradeoffs that should change a shortlist.

EGO states a 5-year limited tool warranty and 3-year limited battery warranty for qualifying purchases from authorized retailers, subject to its terms. It lists shorter terms for commercial use, refurbished equipment and accessories. Check the exact LB6703 suffix and seller before purchase, especially when a listing appears to combine the body-only LB6700 and kit contents. The review is based on manufacturer specifications and operating instructions, not hands-on testing.
