A 765 CFM handheld blower kit with a 5.0 Ah battery, 320 W charger, spread and tapered nozzles, and a strap.

Sources checked 2026-10-23 · Our editorial approach

LB7654 is the kit with one 5.0 Ah battery and a 320 W charger; LB7654-2 has two 5.0 Ah batteries and a rapid charger, and LB7650 is tool only. The linked operator's manual describes the LB7650 blower body.

A useful fit for

The 7654 is for buyers who want a higher-volume handheld kit without stepping to two included batteries. The blower body is the lightest of these five on its manual-listed bare-tool figures; the kit also includes a shoulder strap and both nozzle styles.

The main tradeoff

The exact EGO page says up to 200 MPH while the linked LB7650 manual lists 195 MPH with the tapered nozzle; the page and manual also give different runtime figures. Its included 5.0 Ah battery is still one pack, so a longer session may require a charged spare.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Do I need a strap, spread nozzle and at least 765 CFM in a one-battery kit?

The LB7654 package and LB7650 manual document a strap, spread nozzle and 765 CFM. This combination is not the two-battery LB7654-2 package.

Can a 765 CFM blower stay at or below 4.6 lb before the battery?

The manual lists 4.6 lb without its battery pack. The installed battery raises carry weight, and the manufacturer does not give a total kit operating weight in the sources checked.

Does the higher-flow kit meet a 26 N manual-listed force minimum?

The LB7650 manual lists 26 N maximum blowing force. The current product page's 200 MPH headline and the manual's 195 MPH figure are not reconciled, so speed is not used as a condition.

LB7654 is the one-battery 765 CFM kit

The EGO LB7654 is a handheld blower kit built around the LB7650 body. The exact page lists one 5.0 Ah battery with fuel gauge and a 320 W charger. The operator manual lists the blower body, tapered and spread nozzles, and shoulder strap. EGO also lists two different packages that share the same body: LB7650 is tool only, and LB7654-2 includes two 5.0 Ah batteries and a rapid charger. The version choice can materially affect what you need to purchase, how many packs you can rotate and what is in the carton.

On the body, the variable-speed trigger and lock-on dial let you choose airflow short of maximum, and a boost button provides the peak setting. The manual specifies 765 CFM, 26 N maximum blowing force, 4.6 lb without a battery and up to 195 mph with the tapered nozzle. The current exact EGO page instead promotes up to 200 mph. Because those manufacturer sources disagree, this review preserves the manual figure for the displayed manual specification and does not treat 200 mph as a settled threshold. This is a good example of why the manual and the precise kit page should both be considered rather than copying one marketing headline into a buying filter.

Why choose it over the 670 model?

The LB7654’s main shift from the LB6703 is not just the 95 CFM difference. The LB7654 manual describes 26 N maximum force versus 21 N for the LB6700 family, and the 7654 package includes a shoulder strap. Both families include tapered and spread nozzle choices, but the LB7654 kit uses a 5.0 Ah battery rather than the LB6703’s 4.0 Ah battery. The LB6703 comes with a 320 W charger too, so charger output is not a unique upgrade. The 7654 is a more compelling match when a higher published force specification and included strap matter; if you only need the spread nozzle and a 670 CFM class, the less powerful LB6703 may be sufficient on paper.

The 4.6 lb body-only figure is the lowest of the two stronger models and lower than the 4.9 lb LB8800 body. However, battery and nozzle add weight, and EGO does not state the full operating mass in the sources checked. A strap redistributes some handling load, but it does not make the 7654 a backpack blower or remove the need for secure footing. The manual warns against use from a ladder, rooftop or other unstable support. It also calls for eye protection, hearing protection during extended use, and keeping bystanders at least 50 feet away.

Battery expectations and the runtime caveat

The kit’s 5.0 Ah battery is compatible with EGO’s 56V tools, and EGO says up to 90 minutes of runtime in its product information. The same current page contains a detailed runtime line with longer low-speed and shorter turbo figures; the LB7650 manual specifies approximate 150 minutes low, 25 high and 15 boost with one 5.0 Ah battery. These numbers are not interchangeable: the marketing callout uses an “up to” phrasing, while the manual labels conditions and settings. The page also advertises 200 mph whereas the manual says 195 mph with the tapered nozzle. None of these manufacturer statements guarantees time on a leaf pile. Consider the battery as a kit component and keep a spare charged if your planned work depends on long high-speed bursts.

The LB7654-2 is not a minor listing alias. It includes a second 5.0 Ah battery and a rapid charger, changing the investment and battery rotation plan. If you already have compatible EGO packs, the LB7650 tool-only configuration may be relevant. Check the seller’s package: the shared body can appear with tool-only, one-battery and two-battery suffixes.

Where it fits, and where it does not

This model is a sensible comparison for a homeowner who wants more published output than the LB6504 or LB6703, likes both nozzle options, and wants a shoulder strap in the reviewed kit. Its 765 CFM maximum is below the 880 CFM LB8803-2, but the 765 body is lighter and its included battery is a single 5.0 Ah pack. The 6151 and 6504 may be preferable when a lower-output kit, smaller battery or flat nozzle is more aligned with the task. No model should be chosen by CFM alone: narrow beds, gravel, pine needles and loose mulch can require lower speed and more precise directing than open pavement.

The EGO listing states IPX4 weather-resistant construction. Treat that as the specific rating, not waterproofing. The manual says to remove the battery before adjustments, changing attachments, clearing clogs, cleaning or storing the unit. Keep the intake free of debris and store indoors away from corrosive agents. EGO states limited warranties of five years for the tool and three years for the battery under eligible residential purchases from authorized sellers; the warranty is shorter for commercial use and accessories. This assessment covers the LB7654 package based on manufacturer material; it is not a lab test or report from a product owner.
