A useful fit for

Consider the BL60L252 if you want a complete Greenworks 60V handheld kit with one 2.5 Ah battery and 3A charger, and its published 630 CFM / 170 mph maxima meet your airflow floor. It is a dedicated blower, not a vacuum/mulcher or backpack tool.

The main tradeoff

The separate BL60L04 tool-only version keeps the same listed blower output but omits battery and charger. The page's weight statements have inconsistent bases, motor type and numerical sound/force ratings are not established, and runtime is only an up-to claim. Do not use unknown weight or sound to satisfy a strict requirement.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Do you need a ready-to-run 60V handheld kit with one 2.5 Ah battery and charger, and is 630 CFM enough?

BL60L252 / SKU 2429902 is the kit; Greenworks publishes one 2.5 Ah battery, 3A charger and 630 CFM. The separate BL60L04 / 2429902T tool-only option has no battery or charger.

Is a blower-only tool acceptable, or must the machine collect leaves into a bag?

The BL60L252 is described and illustrated in the manual as a blower; the reviewed package does not document vacuuming, mulching or bag collection. A collection requirement rules it out.

Does a strict ready-to-use 6 lb maximum matter more than the airflow claim?

Greenworks' page reports both 5 lb tool-only and an unqualified 6 lb weight, with no resolved complete weight basis; the manual does not settle it. Unknown operating mass cannot pass a hard 6 lb ceiling.

A 630 CFM kit is different from a tool-only listing

Greenworks' exact U.S. product page identifies the 60V 630 CFM blower kit as model BL60L252, SKU 2429902. Its title and package list specify one 2.5 Ah battery and a 3A charger. The page separately offers a tool-only configuration, BL60L04 / SKU 2429902T, which includes neither battery nor charger. These are two retail package identities for a blower with the same published 630 CFM and 170 mph maxima, but the difference matters: a shopper starting from zero power equipment needs the kit, while an existing 60V owner may prefer to compare the tool-only price and use a compatible pack they already own.

Do not mistake that package comparison for two different airflow tests. Greenworks and the linked operator manual publish 630 CFM and 170 mph for this blower; those are maker maximum specifications, not a promise that a particular pile of leaves, wet grass or driveway will clear at a known rate. A 630 CFM minimum is an inclusive fit; a 631 CFM floor is above the published number. If you need leaf collection into a bag, look for an explicitly documented blower/vacuum instead: the BL60L252 is a dedicated blower, not a mulcher.

Trigger, cruise control and a temporary boost

The product page and BLC473 manual identify a variable-speed trigger, cruise-control lever and Turbo Boost button. That combination supports low-airflow work around beds, maintaining a chosen speed over a longer pass, and briefly selecting maximum airflow for a stubborn patch. It does not create a second machine mode such as vacuuming. The manual specifically describes Turbo Boost as temporary and warns that using it consumes the battery faster, so its presence should not be read as a promise of a full-session runtime at maximum output.

Greenworks advertises up to 50 minutes of runtime, but the page does not identify the speed setting or test conditions behind that maximum. The kit page also says recharge takes under 50 minutes with its 3A charger; the charger's exact model is not identified. Treat these as manufacturer claims useful for rough planning, not measured, directly comparable endurance. If your cleanup is long or includes repeated high-output bursts, the one included 2.5 Ah pack may be a limiting part of the package even though the tool accepts other listed 60V packs.

Battery family and the manual's model-code bridge

The manual lists supported Greenworks 60V BAC-series battery models, including LB60251, LB6041, LB6042, LB6051 and LB6081, and CAC-series chargers such as CAC801, CH60R00, CH60DP01 and CHDPC10A. The product page describes the 60V battery platform as shared with other Greenworks 60V tools. That is useful if you already own compatible Greenworks 60V equipment, but it does not make the brand's 24V, 40V or 80V packs interchangeable. The BL60L04 listing can make sense to a 60V owner who does not need another battery or charger; the BL60L252 kit is the clearer choice when those items are needed in the box.

There is a genuine identifier discrepancy to keep straight. The kit page identifies BL60L252 / SKU 2429902, the tool-only page identifies BL60L04 / SKU 2429902T, and both pages link the same BLC473 manual PDF. Its cover prints BL60L2521. The manual's technical data agree with the product pages' voltage and airflow, but do not silently replace the retail model with the extra-digit manual code. For parts, warranty or battery service, use the exact model/SKU printed on your own tool and the actual serial number.

Weight, noise and box contents remain material uncertainties

The manufacturer page's table calls the tool-only weight 5 lb, while a nearby product summary says 6 lb without explaining its basis. The manual does not publish a weight that resolves the difference. We therefore cannot verify a ready-to-use mass for the kit or claim that a strict weight ceiling is met. Do not turn the round 6 lb line into a battery-installed measurement. Likewise, neither the page nor the manual supplies a numeric 50-foot dB(A) rating or blow force in newtons. Hearing protection is instructed in the manual; that safety direction does not establish a measured loudness result. The manual diagrams a tapered nozzle and the page mentions a concentrator function, but the package list does not itemize a nozzle separately, so a required nozzle attachment is not treated as confirmed included equipment.

The page advertises a four-year limited tool-and-battery warranty, while the manual spells out personal-use conditions and exclusions. Keep proof of purchase and check the applicable terms; a generic duration does not settle coverage for an individual used or open-box unit. Greenworks' recall page inspected for this review names other products and does not name BL60L252 or BL60L04, but absence from that general notice is not a serial-number clearance.

Who should shortlist it?

This is a reasonable candidate for someone already committed to Greenworks 60V or a buyer who wants a complete 2.5 Ah handheld kit and values variable airflow plus cruise control. If you only need a blower body and already own an approved battery, compare the BL60L04 tool-only configuration rather than paying twice for a charger. If the requirement is a verified sub-6-pound operating mass, measured noise ceiling, exact included nozzle, vacuum bag, or airflow above 630 CFM, this documentation does not establish that the kit qualifies. The published performance figures make it comparable to other high-output handheld battery blowers, but they are not evidence of personal testing or a measured yard result.

The manual calls for eye and hearing protection, keeping bystanders at least 50 feet away, avoiding wet conditions, and removing the battery before maintenance or storage. Greenworks' instructions also caution about battery charging temperatures. Those practical requirements are more useful than a vague promise of maintenance-free use. This review interprets the manufacturer's U.S. product pages and linked manual; no personal ownership or independent airflow test is claimed.
