Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Would a battery-powered handheld body without a battery or charger fit your existing-tool setup?
Yes as a package description: Lowe’s item 7915895 lists the KHB2524-06 blower and manual, while the battery and charger are sold separately. The separate pack must be a supported Kobalt 24V model and must be checked for the USB-C battery recall before use; this exact product remains reference-only.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the 270-CFM maximum meet a 270-CFM floor but fail a 271-CFM floor?
The manual and Lowe’s page both list 270 CFM. That published maximum meets 270 on paper; a 271 minimum is beyond the rating. Neither figure predicts cleanup time.

This is the KHB2524-06 bare tool: zero batteries and no charger are listed in the package. Choose a complete kit if both items are essential; the KHB 324-06 kit is a separate package but has a CPSC battery-revision caveat.
Explore this need in the finder →The KHB2524-06 is the bare-tool version of Kobalt’s 24V brushless handheld blower family. Lowe’s identifies it as item 7915895 and states that the package contains the blower and manual, with battery and charger sold separately. There are two materially different manual records in the family archive: an earlier 32-page manual pairs this model with the older KHB 324-06 kit, while the currently Lowe’s-linked 136-page manual pairs it with the separate KHB 324-06A kit. Both document the KHB2524-06 as a 270-CFM/130-MPH blower, but their compatible-battery lists differ. The important difference here is still the bare-tool package—and whether a specific separately supplied battery is safe to use.
A compact blower body, not a starter kit
The manual lists a 24V DC motor, 270 CFM and 130 MPH. It shows two blower-tube pieces, a wide nozzle and a speed tip, plus a variable trigger and lock-on button. The wide nozzle is the useful choice for sweeping a broader patch of patio or driveway; the speed tip narrows the stream for more concentrated movement. Use the trigger to adjust airflow rather than assuming the maximum rating applies to every pass. This is a handheld tool, not a backpack blower, and Lowe’s lists neither vacuuming nor mulching as a function.
Because the package has no battery, its zero included-battery count does not mean the tool runs without one. Lowe’s lists up to 50 minutes using two separately sold 24V 3.0 Ah batteries. That is a retailer maximum across a stated two-pack assumption, not a one-pack runtime, a measured cleanup result or evidence that two batteries operate simultaneously. The manual’s package drawing and the listing’s package fields show no charger either. If a ready-to-use kit is essential, choose the finder’s one-battery-and-charger options instead; the KHB 324-06 sibling has those items but carries its own recall caveat.
How to decide whether a bare tool fits
This configuration only makes practical sense when you already have a compatible Kobalt 24V battery and charger whose exact model and recall status you have verified. The earlier 32-page manual lists compatible packs including KB 324-06; the currently linked 136-page manual instead lists KB 324-06A among the supported models. Those are different model codes, and neither list establishes the identity or revision of the pack you own. Do not treat brand or voltage alone as a safety clearance. CPSC notice 26-611 concerns Kobalt 24V batteries with a USB-C charging port and lists KHB2524-06 only inside the KOC 1024-06 trimmer/blower combo with a KB 324-06 pack. The Lowe’s tool-only listing is not that combo and includes no pack, so this review does not label the blower body itself recalled. The compatible battery you supply is the unresolved safety-critical part.
Until that pack is verified, this is an identification reference rather than a purchase recommendation. If you own a pack with a USB-C charging port, do not charge it through that port while it is inserted in a yard tool; follow the CPSC recall instructions and contact Greenworks. If you need to buy both tool and battery, compare a complete kit in a separately verified battery system rather than assembling a package from uncertain parts.
What the airflow numbers can—and cannot—tell you
At 270 CFM, the KHB2524-06 belongs in the light-duty side of a blower comparison. That is a reasonable level for scattered dry leaves, grass clippings and dust on a small hard surface, but a lower ceiling than higher-output handhelds designed to move larger piles. The manual and Lowe’s page both list 130 MPH; the CPSC table describes the recalled combo configuration as 100 MPH. Because that is a material conflict in the sources, this assessment keeps the manual’s 130-MPH specification visible while explaining the CPSC discrepancy rather than silently choosing one version or assuming the underlying units are identical.
Lowe’s also displays 6.6 lb and 65 dB, but does not state a battery/nozzle basis for the weight or a test distance and method for sound. Neither entry can satisfy an essential bare-tool weight or 50-foot noise ceiling. In the finder, an airflow floor of 270 CFM can include the published maximum; a 271-CFM floor should exclude it. A requirement for a battery and charger in the same box also rejects this tool-only package even if you already own compatible equipment.
Setup, limits and alternatives
The manual’s assembly sequence has you align each tube or nozzle tab with its slot and twist until the lock marks line up. Check that connection before starting; an incompletely locked tube can separate. The manual calls for eye and hearing protection, keeping bystanders away, avoiding rain or wet conditions and removing the battery before adjustments, cleaning or storage. The product page’s “up to 1/4-acre” description is not a verified area guarantee, and neither the listing nor manual promises that wet debris will move easily.
If you want a tool-only battery blower but not this uncertain pack dependency, compare Toro 51821T, a distinct 60V tool-only handheld, in its own review. For a complete residential kit, Greenworks BL40B201 has a separately listed 350 CFM, one battery and a charger; for more airflow, EGO LB5302 lists 530 CFM but uses another system. Those models are comparisons, not substitutes for checking battery compatibility. The KHB2524-06’s strongest practical appeal is an existing, verified safe Kobalt 24V setup; without that prerequisite, the package and recall context make a complete alternative the more responsible choice.
