Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Do you need the KHB 324-06 kit’s one 3.0 Ah battery and charger in the box?
The Lowe’s KHB 324-06 listing identifies one 3.0 Ah 24V battery and a charger. CPSC 26-611 also lists this exact tool/battery pairing; because the notice is limited to USB-C-port battery revisions and the old listing does not identify the pack revision, this model remains reference-only until the battery is checked.
Explore this need in the finder →Is the published 270 CFM enough, or do you need more headroom?
The shared Kobalt manual and Lowe’s page state a 270-CFM maximum. It fits a 270-CFM floor on paper but not a 271-CFM minimum; the published maximum is not a measured cleanup-time result.
Explore this need in the finder →Can an unspecified weight or sound figure pass a strict handling limit?
No. Lowe’s 6.6-lb figure has no battery/nozzle basis and its 65-dB listing has no test distance or method. Bare-tool weight and 50-foot sound remain unknown, so treat either as non-passing if essential.
Explore this need in the finder →The KHB 324-06 is the 24V, 3.0 Ah battery-and-charger package of Kobalt’s compact 270-CFM handheld blower. Lowe’s identifies this exact listing as item 6036645 and says it is no longer sold there. It is useful to recognize in a used listing or an existing garage, but it is not a purchase recommendation: the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s July 2026 notice names this exact tool-and-battery pairing in a USB-C battery recall. Check the battery label and port and use the official remedy before charging or operating a unit.
What this exact kit includes
The Lowe’s listing identifies one 3.0 Ah Kobalt 24V battery and a charger in the package. Its specifications and the shared operator manual identify a 270-CFM, 130-MPH brushless handheld blower. The manual’s cover ties the package to model KHB 324-06 and item 6036645; the same 32-page manual also covers the distinct KHB 2524-06 bare tool. The kit adds the battery and charger rather than changing the blower body’s published airflow.
The manual shows two extension tubes, a wide nozzle, a speed tip, a trigger and a lock-on button. Lowe’s describes the speed tip as the higher-speed option and the flat nozzle as a wider sweep. The tube pieces and nozzles lock by twisting tabs into their slots; the manual cautions that a loose connection can separate during operation. The variable trigger lets you ease the airflow for lighter cleanup, while lock-on can hold a chosen trigger setting during an extended pass. It does not vacuum or mulch leaves and has no collection bag.
Where 270 CFM fits—and where it does not
This output is more naturally suited to quick hard-surface work than to shifting a deep, wet leaf mat. Lowe’s positions it for garages, patios and vehicles and labels it light-duty. On a small, mostly hardscape property, the lighter-duty framing and included wider nozzle make sense for grass clippings, dust and scattered dry leaves. For damp piles, heavy fall cleanup or a large area, a higher published air-volume class offers more headroom; that still does not guarantee a particular cleanup time.
The listing’s “up to 50 minutes” is a maximum claim for the included 3.0 Ah pack, not an independent runtime result or a promise that the blower will run that long at full trigger. Its separate “up to 1/4-acre” use description is not a tested yard-size boundary. If a minimum CFM is essential in the finder, 270 is the documented maximum for this manual family; a 271-CFM floor rejects it. A strict noise or weight requirement should not be based on Lowe’s 65-dB and 6.6-lb fields: neither field states a measurement distance or a clear with/without-battery basis.
The recall is the deciding tradeoff
CPSC notice 26-611 lists a Kobalt 24V 270-CFM blower kit, model KHB 324-06, with one 3.0 Ah KB 324-06 battery. The notice says the recall concerns 24V packs with a USB-C charging port, not every battery that fits a Kobalt 24V tool. Lowe’s archived listing describes a 3.0 Ah battery but does not show the physical pack revision or port, so this review does not claim that every individual unit is affected or cleared. The model-and-pack pairing is sufficiently specific that the package stays out of purchase matching unless the unit is checked against the official notice.
If you already own one, do not charge a battery through its USB-C port while it is installed in the tool. CPSC directs owners of affected batteries to stop that charging method and contact Greenworks for the replacement battery and instructions. Read the full CPSC recall notice and verify the actual pack; the photo is not a safety determination.
Who should compare something else
For a new kit, compare an exact model whose battery status and package are established before making a decision. The Greenworks BL40B201 is a separate 40V kit with a higher listed 350 CFM and one battery plus charger; the EGO LB5302 is a different 56V handheld listing at 530 CFM. Their platforms are not interchangeable with Kobalt, and their package details should be read in their own assessments. If your goal is specifically a 24V Kobalt bare tool, the KHB 2524-06 review explains the similar body and why its required battery is still a separate safety decision.
This KHB 324-06 record is therefore most useful as an identification and ownership reference: it distinguishes the one-battery kit from the tool-only sibling, preserves the manual’s stated controls and nozzles, and explains why the exact battery matters more than a headline runtime claim. Until the installed pack is identified and any recall remedy is complete, choose a different verified configuration for purchase.
