Model comparison
Compare ECHO, EGO and Greenworks trimmer-and-blower combo kits
Start with the two jobs, then check the exact kit
A trimmer-and-blower combo is sensible only when both tools will be used. The important differences are not just the highest airflow numbers: check what trimmer head arrives, what battery is in the carton, whether the included charger is standard or rapid, and how the shared pack affects a day that includes both edging and cleanup. Every kit below supplies one battery for two separate tools; that pack cannot be fitted to both tools at the same time, and manufacturer runtime figures for the two tools should not be added together as a single-session guarantee.
ECHO DCP-BVRVS1B: ECHO's 14/16-inch line-head combo
ECHO's exact DCP-BVRVS1B page identifies a DPB-2500 handheld blower, a DSRM-2100 trimmer, one 2.5Ah 56V battery and a standard charger. The trimmer's Speed-Feed 400 head uses .095-inch Silentwist line, and its cut width can be set to 14 or 16 inches. The narrower setting is intended to conserve runtime; the wider setting covers a larger path. ECHO's current combo page lists blower output at 549 CFM, 158 mph and 17 newtons, but the DPB-2500 manuals and support specification instead list 580 CFM and 150 mph. Because ECHO has not explained that discrepancy, this assessment does not award the combo a firm CFM or air-speed threshold. It remains a technical reference, not a buying recommendation while exact safety eligibility is unresolved.
The ECHO package's smaller 2.5Ah battery is an important practical limit. Its page lists separate blower averages of 9/15/90 minutes in turbo/high/low settings and up to 56 minutes for the trimmer. These are different operating estimates for the same pack, not two tools running together. The page lists a 75-minute standard-charge time. If you already own other compatible ECHO 56V equipment, a different pack may be an option, but the DCP-BVRVS1B itself contains one 2.5Ah battery.
EGO ST1502LB and ST1503LB: the same 15-inch trimmer, different pack
The EGO ST1502LB pairs a 15-inch Rapid Reload trimmer with an LB5300-family blower rated at 530 CFM and includes a 2.5Ah pack. ST1503LB keeps the same basic tool pairing but supplies a 4.0Ah battery. That is the clearest choice between these two packages: whether the larger pack's extra capacity is worth its additional carried weight for the jobs you expect to do. Rapid Reload still uses manual line winding after the line is fed through the head; it is not the push-button winding feature on the POWERLOAD model.
EGO ST1511LB: choose it for the trimmer-head change
ST1511LB keeps the 15-inch trimmer and 530 CFM LB5300-family blower pairing but uses EGO's POWERLOAD head. It suits someone who values button-assisted winding over the earlier Rapid Reload method; it is not a higher-CFM blower choice. Compare the exact battery and charger package against the ST1502LB/ST1503LB rows before buying, because a shared model-family description does not make their cartons interchangeable.
Greenworks STBA40B210: the smaller 40V trimmer-and-blower pairing
Greenworks' STBA40B210 (SKU 1301202) is a different scale of combo: one 12-inch .065-inch auto-feed trimmer, a handheld blower rated at 390 CFM/110 mph, one 2.0 Ah 40V battery and a charger. The included pack travels between the tools, so this is a sequential yard-care package rather than a simultaneous two-tool setup. Compared with the EGO 15-inch / 530 CFM kits, it trades a narrower trim path and lower published blower maximum for the smaller 40V kit battery. The product page says the trimmer is not attachment-capable; it does not compete with an attachment system or a POWERLOAD line-winding head. Its trigger-restart auto-feed is a separate design: the linked STF305 manual says not to bump the head to advance line.
That makes Greenworks worth comparing when you need both basic chores, want to enter its 40V platform, and can accept the 390 CFM limit. A hard 391 CFM minimum, 2.1 Ah battery floor, attachment requirement or telescoping-shaft requirement rules it out. Its page says up to 30 minutes but does not promise a separate allowance for trimming plus blowing; do not convert one battery or a general runtime line into two full work sessions. The component manuals linked from the kit page use model codes STF305 and 2400802/BLF341, so use STBA40B210 / SKU 1301202 to identify the package rather than substituting a component name.
Greenworks STBL40L301: a larger, attachment-capable 40V combo
The STBL40L301 (SKU 1346302) raises the Greenworks combo’s published blower maximum to 550 CFM/130 mph and pairs it with a 16-inch .095-inch dual-line bump-feed trimmer. It includes one 4.0 Ah pack and charger, shared sequentially between the tools. Unlike STBA40B210, its trimmer is attachment-capable and Greenworks lists several compatible optional heads, but those heads are separate purchases. This is a better fit if you will use the attachment system and want the wider trim path; it is not a two-battery package, and the maker’s up-to-34-minute high-mode blower statement does not promise a combined trimming-and-blowing session. If you only need basic trimming and lighter cleanup, compare the less capable STBA40B210; if you want a larger kit with both jobs, compare the EGO alternatives and their different battery platform.
Decision checklist
Choose between these by the task rather than by combo-kit label. If you want a 14-inch setting on the trimmer, the named Speed-Feed 400 head, and ECHO's 56V system, the DCP-BVRVS1B is the relevant configuration to research—but do not use its conflicting airflow figures as a strict pass/fail number. If an agreed 530 CFM blower rating and a 15-inch cutting path suit you, compare the EGO pairs; select ST1502LB or ST1503LB by battery capacity, and select ST1511LB for POWERLOAD rather than expecting more blower output. If trimming is a once-a-year task, a blower-only kit may be a better match than carrying and maintaining an extra tool. If long high-output blowing is essential, examine the exact per-mode runtime and consider a larger compatible battery or a blower-only configuration designed around that use.
All numerical outputs here are manufacturer-listed ratings, not independent yard tests. Battery runtime varies with mode, material, battery condition and operating technique. Use each model's exact U.S. product page and the manual for its serial/model range; do not assume that similar kit names include identical batteries, chargers or heads.
