Model comparison

Compare Greenworks 60V 610, 660 and 700 CFM handheld blowers

Start with the box, then compare the blower numbers

The four Greenworks 60V handhelds in this comparison do not ask the same buyer question. BL60B210, BL60L251 and BL60L253 are one-battery kits with chargers; BL60L02 is sold tool-only. All are handheld battery blowers with trigger control, cruise control and a Turbo feature, but their published airflow maxima and package details differ. That means the finder should ask about the battery/charger first, then use CFM and other constraints only where Greenworks provides a clear value.

CFM and mph are manufacturer-published maxima rather than comparable cleanup trials. BL60L253's mph figure is higher than BL60L02's, while BL60L02's CFM is higher; these separate values do not produce a single “strongest” ranking. They also do not tell you the runtime at a chosen setting, clearing time in wet leaves, or sound at a neighbor's window.

When the kit question changes the shortlist

If you are buying your first Greenworks 60V blower and want the battery and charger included, BL60B210, BL60L251 and BL60L253 are the three packages here that meet that basic need. Each includes one pack, but the BL60B210 kit is the only one with the smaller 2.0 Ah battery; it publishes 450 CFM / 140 mph. BL60L251 and BL60L253 include 2.5 Ah packs and publish higher air-volume values of 610 and 660 CFM respectively. None meets a two-battery requirement. These are package and maker-specification differences, not evidence of comparative field runtime.

If you already own a compatible Greenworks 60V battery and charger, BL60L02's tool-only configuration may avoid purchasing another set in the same box. It has the highest listed CFM in this trio at 700, plus a named concentrator nozzle, flat nozzle and strap. A buyer who needs a charger included should reject it; a buyer who needs the tool-only package and those included attachments can select it. Check the model and charger labels: Greenworks' 60V platform is not interchangeable simply because the brand also sells 24V, 40V and 80V tools.

Do not force unknown measurements into a decision

Weight is a material difference, but none of these three has a clean weight basis in the reviewed Greenworks material. For BL60L251, the page lists 5.25 pounds without a basis, its support listing says 8.5 pounds, and the linked manual says 5.3 pounds before the battery. For BL60B210, the page says 5.1 pounds as “Product Weight” without a basis while its manual says 5.3 pounds without battery. The page separately claims less than 8 pounds with the battery, without an exact total. For BL60L02, the page says 10.14 pounds while its manual says 5.3 pounds without battery. For BL60L253, the page's 6.38-pound Product Weight and “less than 9 pounds without battery” wording conflict. These are not safe inputs for a strict bare-tool or ready-to-use ceiling.

The manufacturer pages and manuals also do not give a numeric 50-foot dB(A) rating or newton force for these models. A “Quiet Force” label or a high CFM figure cannot substitute. If sound, force, or weight is an essential limit, these products should remain out of the shortlist until a reliable exact-model value and measurement basis are documented.

Runtime claims are not an apples-to-apples test

Greenworks says BL60B210 runs up to 45 minutes on low and 10 minutes on Turbo with its 2.0 Ah kit battery; the page says a 3A charger recharges in about 50 minutes. BL60L251 runs up to 50 minutes on low and recharges in 50 minutes with a 3A charger. BL60L02's up-to-50-minute low-speed claim assumes a separately sold 5.0 Ah battery; its rapid charger is also separate. BL60L253's up-to-50-minute runtime and recharge claims do not specify matching test settings in the reviewed product page. These claims cannot tell you which one lasts longest because package capacity and claim conditions differ. Turbo uses power faster, so reserve it for the moments it is useful.

All three manuals call for appropriate eye and hearing protection, keeping bystanders at least 50 feet away, dry-use restrictions and removing the battery before maintenance or storage. They are blower configurations rather than leaf-collection machines: if you need to vacuum and mulch leaves into a bag, use the finder’s collection question and compare a true vacuum/mulcher model instead.

Bottom line: choose BL60B210 for a one-pack 2.0 Ah kit with 450/140 maxima; BL60L251 for a one-pack 2.5 Ah kit with its 610/130 maxima; BL60L253 for a one-pack kit with 660/180 maxima; or BL60L02 if an existing 60V battery/charger and the tool-only package fit, while its listed 700/170 maxima and included nozzles matter.
