Model comparison

Compare Husqvarna 350iB tool-only and battery-kit packages

Husqvarna's US catalog lists two 350iB Leaf Blaster packages: tool-only SKU 970 56 99-03 and battery/charger SKU 970 56 99-04. They share the handheld blower, round nozzle, boost and cruise-control functions, but they are not interchangeable shopping identities. One leaves the battery and charger out; the other supplies one BLi30 battery and a QC250 charger.

Start with what you already own

The tool-only box contains the blower and round nozzle, not a battery or charger. It is meant for someone with an exact compatible Husqvarna battery and charger or for a person planning a separate power-equipment purchase. The operator manual identifies specific compatible batteries: 40-B140, BLi22, BLi30, BLi200 and BLi300. It describes the BLi system as 36V nominal. The product page also uses a 40V class label, so do not decide compatibility from the voltage shorthand alone. Read the model code on the battery and charger and compare it with Husqvarna's manual.

The kit adds one BLi30 battery, listed at 36V and 7.7 Ah, and a 250 W QC250 charger. The exact page calls the charger “220V,” while the 350iB manual and Husqvarna's US charger page specify 100–240V for QC250. That mismatch should be resolved at the charger nameplate before use; this guide does not assume that a charger with a similar model name is the exact same electrical variant. For a US buyer, this is a reason to inspect the package, not a detail to infer from the battery's voltage.

The blower's published performance does not change with the kit suffix

Both packages use the same 350iB blower. Husqvarna's 2025 operator manual lists 800 CFM maximum volume with the nozzle, 200 mph maximum air velocity with the nozzle, and 23.5 N blowing force. The current product pages show 799.88 CFM for the tool-only configuration and 799.98 CFM for the kit at the round nozzle. Both pages also display 555 CFM in the housing and at the pipe. Keep each value attached to the source location and exact page; a manufacturer maximum is not a promise of cleanup time or a controlled comparison with another brand.

The kit includes no second nozzle. Neither package includes a shoulder harness or vacuum kit. If you need an included flat or spread nozzle, a carrying harness, a collection bag or mulching, this is not the configuration to buy for that requirement. A true vacuum/mulcher is a different operating plan: compare a machine such as the EGO LV5005 or its tool-only LV5000 rather than expecting the 350iB blower body to pick up leaves.

Check weight and run-time claims before setting a hard limit

Husqvarna lists 5.95 lb excluding battery on the product pages, while the 2025 manual lists 6.2 lb without battery. The same pages display a general 10 lb weight beside both the bare tool and the kit. The manual separately lists the BLi30 battery at 4.2 lb, but the mismatch between source fields means we do not treat a calculated sum or the product-page summary as a verified assembled carry weight. The kit's operating weight remains unknown for a strict matching limit. If weight is a non-negotiable maximum, use a model with one unambiguous documented basis rather than comparing body-only and complete-kit numbers as if they were alike.

The included 7.7 Ah pack provides more rated capacity than the 4 Ah pack in the smaller 230iB kit, but capacity alone cannot establish a session length. Husqvarna's FAQ gives an approximate standard-mode runtime and says boost reduces it; usage conditions and settings still matter. For long open stretches, the manual's cruise-control function can hold the selected airflow. For dusty paving or loose debris near garden beds, the manual advises using only as much airflow as needed, directing the stream away from people and property and working with the wind. That operating advice is more useful than assuming the highest CFM will suit every surface.

Package decision and safety boundary

If you already own an exact compatible BLi battery and charger, the tool-only box avoids redundant power equipment. If you have no compatible pieces, the kit starts with one battery and charger, though its exact charger-label wording should be checked. Do not choose the kit merely because a larger amp-hour number sounds like a runtime guarantee, and do not choose tool-only if its omitted battery makes the full setup inconvenient or unaffordable.

Both 350iB reviews remain reference-only because exact-model CPSC safety status has not been established. We make no recall or no-recall claim, and neither package enters buying recommendations until that status can be verified. For a current purchase comparison with an 800-plus CFM published maximum, the EGO LB8803-2 provides a separate documented package to evaluate; it uses a different battery platform, two included batteries and tapered/spread nozzles. A lower-output one-battery alternative such as the EGO LB7654 is another distinct choice. Compare the exact workflow and package, not just the largest headline value.
